Lamp Offering

In the Buddha-Dharma, offering a lamp before the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is a sacred expression of humility, gratitude, and heartfelt reverence.
As we offer lamps outwardly, we also kindle the inner light of wisdom — dispelling ignorance, strengthening resilience, and illuminating our path of cultivation towards auspiciousness and awakening.

In the upcoming months, you are warmly encouraged to offer a lamp before the Blessed One, Buddha Śākyamuni, on these meaningful days:

1st Day of the 7th Lunar Month (农历七月初一) : 13 August 2026
15th Day of the 7th Lunar Month (农历七月十五) [Ullambana 盂兰盆] : 27 August 2026

1st Day of the 8th Lunar Month (农历八月初一) : 11 September 2026
15th Day of the 8th Lunar Month (农历八月十五) : 25 September 2026

 1st Day of the 9th Lunar Month (农历九月初一) : 10 October 2026
15th Day of the 9th Lunar Month (农历九月十五) : 24 October 2026
Renunciation Day of Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara (农历九月十九) : 28 October 2026

Birth Day of Medicine Buddha (农历九月三十) : 8 November 2026
1st Day of the 10th Lunar Month (农历十月初一) : 9 November 2026
15th Day of the 10th Lunar Month (农历十月十五) : 23 November 2026

1st Day of the 11th Lunar Month (农历十一月初一) : 9 December 2026

Lamp offerings may also be made at any time for dedicated aspirations — such as prayers for well-being, safe travel, recovery from illness, or the dedication of merits for loved ones.
