Dharma Resources

Our Dharma Resources consist of eBooks, articles, and teachings offered to support learning, reflection, and the application of Buddhist wisdom in daily life. These materials are rooted in the Buddha’s teachings and presented in a way that is intended to be both meaningful and practical — supporting understanding of the mind, emotions, and the path of practice.

This collection includes Dharma eBooks authored by our Dharma Advisor, Venerable Chuan Jia, together with selected articles and translated sūtras. These writings explore themes such as mindfulness, compassion, emotional well-being, and the application of Buddhist teachings in modern life. They are offered freely as part of our commitment to making the Dharma accessible for study and reflection.

In keeping with the spirit of Dāna (generosity), our work continues through the kindness of those who wish to support our publications. If you have found these books meaningful and would like to contribute towards future publications and community initiatives, you are welcome to do so.

The Sūtra on the Eight Realisations of the Great Beings

The Sūtra on the Eight Realisations of the Great Beings
八大人觉经

Life is fleeting, desires are endless, and suffering persists — yet wisdom offers a path to liberation.

This book distils the Buddha’s teachings into eight profound realisations that guide practitioners toward clarity, compassion, and selfless service. Each realisation is presented not only as teaching, but as a lived practice for daily cultivation.

Venerable Shi Chuan Jia offers clear reflections and practical applications, making this sūtra accessible to both beginners and long-term practitioners.

May these teachings support the cultivation of wisdom and the steady walking of the Bodhisattva path.

The Lotus Sūtra Universal Gate Chapter

The Lotus Sūtra's Universal Gate Chapter on Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara
妙法莲华经观世音菩萨普门品

The Lotus Sūtra’s Universal Gate Chapter on Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara reveals the boundless compassion and skilful responses of Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, who hears the cries of the world and responds with wisdom and mercy.

Spoken by Buddha Śākyamuni on Vulture Peak, this chapter reveals how the mere mindfulness of Avalokiteśvara’s name opens the gateway to deliverance, transforming afflictions into serenity and despair into faith and strength.

This edition includes both Chinese text and English translation, making it suitable for chanting, study, or reflective reading.

May this sutra inspire faith in compassion and awaken the heart’s capacity for kindness.

Medicine Buddha Sutra

The Medicine Buddha Sūtra
药师琉璃光如来本愿功德经

The healing light of the Medicine Buddha offers relief from suffering and the cultivation of clarity, virtue, and well-being.

This sūtra describes the twelve great vows of the Medicine Buddha and his pure land of Lapis Lazuli radiance. It teaches how remembrance of his name supports purification of karmic obstacles, calming of the mind, and encouragement toward wholesome practice. It is often used in recitation and contemplation as a source of healing faith and inner stability.

Carefully translated, this edition presents both the original Chinese text and its English rendering, making it an invaluable resource for study, recitation, or contemplation. Whether for personal spiritual practice or communal chanting, the Medicine Buddha Sūtra serves as a timeless guide to healing, compassion, and the realisation of the true nature within all beings.

May this teaching support healing of body and mind, and the arising of wisdom and compassion.

Amitabha Sutra

Amitabha Sūtra — as discoursed by the Buddha
佛说阿弥陀经

A teaching on faith, aspiration, and the possibility of liberation through remembrance of Amitābha Buddha.

This sūtra describes the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss (Sukhāvatī), where conditions for practice are free from suffering and confusion. It emphasises the practice of mindfulness of the Buddha’s name (念佛) as a path toward clarity, peace, and rebirth in the Pure Land.

This English edition has been refined for modern readers, while preserving key traditional terms that carry the spirit and depth of the original teachings. We offer this version with reverence, mindful that it may serve as a bridge for the heart to connect with the Western Pure Land, and inspiring the mind with faith, joy and aspiration.

May this text support the practice of “念佛” (the mindful recitation of Amitābha Buddha’s name) and guide countless beings across the shores of suffering to liberation.

Mahā-Mangala Sutta

Mahā-Mangala Sutta: Discourse on Blessings

The Mahā-Maṅgala Sutta: Discourse on Blessings is a teaching of the Buddha that explains what true blessings in life really are. Rather than pointing to luck or external signs, the Buddha describes wholesome qualities and actions, such as respecting one’s parents, associating with the wise, practising patience, and cultivating wisdom, as the highest blessings. It serves as a practical guide to living a harmonious and meaningful life.

The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom Sūtra
般若波罗蜜多心经

“Gone, gone, gone beyond—completely gone beyond—Enlightenment, all accomplished.”

The Heart Sūtra is one of the most treasured scriptures in Mahāyāna Buddhism—brief, yet profound. Recited daily by countless practitioners, its verses offer deep insight into the nature of Emptiness and the path to awakening.

This book offers more than just a translation. It serves as a companion for those seeking to understand the Heart Sūtra beyond words, linking its wisdom to core Buddhist teachings such as the Five Aggregates, the Six Pāramitās, and Dependent Origination.

Written in a clear and accessible style, this text is ideal for both new and experienced practitioners who wish to incorporate the Heart Sūtra into their daily lives—not just as a chant, but as a source of clarity, peace, and compassionate action..

May this teaching serve as a mirror of insight, revealing clarity, compassion, and freedom.
